How long will diagnostics take?
If you drop off your Mac, PC or Mobile device by 1pm we will start service the same day and make every effort to have your device completely tested and present you with a time & cost repair estimate before the close of the next business day (Monday – Friday). Otherwise we will start service on the next business day.
Saturdays 12 – 4 pm is reserved for drop off and pick up, although quite often we are able to get the diagnostic process started if you drop off your Apple / Mac or PC on Saturday.
We have state of the art diagnostic tools that are very detailed & thorough. So standard diagnostics can take as long as 12 or more hrs to complete depending on your computer’s hardware configuration.
After we test your hardware we need to inspect your Operating System for errors, damage and/or corruption. After that we will see if you have any malicious code (viruses, malware, spyware, etc.)
Please note, if we have to tear down and inspect your computer or mobile device that service is not covered by our diagnostic fee. We generally requires 2 business days to accurately perform this type of service.
The time it takes to tear down inspect and or test your computer really depends on the problem & the particular make and model we are working with. We will be actively working on it once it is dropped off service.
How much do diagnostics cost?
Standard Diagnostic Normally Priced $49.95
2019 Winter Special Mac or PC $19.95 – Save $30
90% of the computers that come in for service, we are able to run state of the art standard diagnostic suite and test all hardware components, as well as inspect the file system (operating system) for corruption and malicious infections.
If we are not able to run standard diagnostics, we will have to tear down and inspect your computer component by component.
Tear Down & Inspect fee is $79.95 and is applicable to your repair or it may even solve the problem you are having.
How long will It take to repair my computer??
It can be a little difficult to estimate how long any given repair will take – the amount of time it may take to repair really depends on the problem & the computer. Depending on the repair It can vary from 1 Hour – 2 days.
On average, our repair completion time is 2 business days, we will start the repair as soon as you approve the estimate (Monday – Friday).
What kind of warranty do we give on repairs?
Warranty on new parts is 1 year – Lifetime
Most of our labor charges come with a 100% unconditional guarantee.

I'm worried about my data, is it safe?
Protection of your priceless data files is job #1 for us.
We work for a number of local businesses and understand how critical & important personal and company data is. Therefore we
strongly advise all of our clients to regularly back up their computer.
Don’t have a back up in place? We can assist you with setting one up!
We always take great care in looking after your data. Any data we backup or recover and/or store as a result of a repair to your computer is kept in strict confidence. All customer data files stored on our secure servers is always stored password protected.
We advise everyone to backup all of their data BEFORE any work is undertaken. We cannot emphasize enough how absolutely critical back up is, and how easy it is to loose your priceless information stored on your computer. If you do not have a backup or do not know how to do a back up let us know and we will be happy to assist you with both.
While A2 Computers takes precautions in the protection of your data files, ultimately it is your responsibility to protect your software and data files that are stored on your computer, mobile device, or any other type of storage media. We are happy to assist you with this critical task, or do our best to recover your data in the event of a hardware or software malfunction.
Some of the failures which can cause data loss are:

- Hard drive failure
- Deletion of data (accidental or otherwise)
- Data corruption
- Hard drive crash
- Contamination & damage of drive
- Inaccessible drive or partitions
- Human Error
- Lost or stolen
Data loss can happen in the blink of an eye. It is heartbreaking to see our customers
loose their priceless pictures, tax returns, documents, music, etc. Don’t let it happen to you!
Always remember, it is your responsibility to back up & protect your irreplaceable data files, particularly if they are critical or irreplaceable.
What is the warranty on pre-owned computers?
All of our Refurbished computers come with at least a 6 month warranty (the industry standard is 30 – 90 days).
The warranty covers hardware defects. If any hardware component fails within the warranty period we will replace it at no charge. If a product cannot be replaced due to availability, a similar agreed upon product may be substituted of equal value, or we will give you a full refund.
The warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage to the unit, even if accidental. Warranty does not cover data or 3rd party software. Make sure you back up your computer to avoid data or software loss.
Laptop batteries under warranty are guaranteed to hold at least a 1 hour charge (most are longer) on all laptops both Mac & Microsoft. Frequently the laptops we sell come with new batteries installed and/or chargers.
The warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage even if accidental.
What Is Free Lifetime Check Up?
Customer Service is number priority #1 with us. We go above & beyond with after the sale support, on every computer purchased from us.
We are committed to after the sale support because we know that service & quality is what really counts in establishing a long term relationship with our customers.
Any computer we sell comes with lifetime support. If you ever have a problem with a computer you buy from us, bring it in & we will check it out for free. That includes standard diagnostic testing, inspect for malicious code (virus, spyware or malware). We also inspect for OS corruption. We normally charge $49 for this service.
All purchased computers that come in for the free check up, get priority service.
Return Policy On Computer Purchase
Customer Satisfaction is our #1 priority. This is why we offer industry leading after the sale support on all computers we sell.
If you are not satisfied with an a computer you purchased you may return it within 30 days of purchase. Unless the computer has a defective hardware issue, we have to charge a 15% restocking fee. The restocking fee offsets the cost to test, clean, & reinstall the operating system – even if it only leaves our store for short period of time.
